Kane started Smartfix as a solo electrician working out of Perth’s Northern suburbs. No systems, no playbook, no one to call when things got hard. Every mistake was paid for the expensive way — in cash, in hours, and in the stress that follows a trade owner home.

Over the years Smartfix grew into a major Perth trade business, delivering work across more than 15 different trades and services: electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, cabinetry, painting, tiling, full renovations, gardening, cleaning, roofing, ceilings and plastering. Today it’s refocused on what it does best, electrical and air conditioning, but that breadth of experience is exactly what makes the coaching real. And the thing that’s stuck with us through all of it: how lonely and unnecessarily hard those early years were, and how much faster it all could have gone with the right systems and the right people around us.
